Aaron joined Sands Carving Studio in August 2025, bringing with him a calm, grounded presence and a strong connection to his whakapapa.
After leaving the butchery industry, Aaron took the leap into a more creative path—returning to his roots in toi Māori.
He holds a diploma in Māori wood carving and is a naturally gifted artist, with a real eye for drawing and design. Though he’s starting with simpler pounamu forms, his creativity and talent are clear.
Aaron is the youngest member of our whānau – and brings plenty of quiet mana to the team.
