Manaia are the kaitiaki (guardian) of the earth, sky, and sea. Worn as a pendant, they protect the wearer from harm and are a symbol of integrity and mana (prestige).
This manaia was hand-carved by Jeremy Walsh from inanga pounamu. It measures 142 x 56mm and comes with an adjustable hand-plaited cord.
