This precious ruru was carved by Aaron Marshall from kōkopu pounamu sourced from Arahura of Te Wai Pounamu, Aotearoa, whakarei with unaunahi and inlaid with paua eyes and red wax pupils. It measures 65mm by 80mm, has a semi-gloss finish, and is bound with an adjustable hand-braided cord.
